How Nathan Barry got 65 beta readers into Kit and emailed them from one Claude conversation

Nathan Barry, Kit's founder, had 65 beta readers stuck in a tool with no export. He pasted the list into Claude, which was connected to his Kit account. The agent cleaned the list, added the readers to Kit with a tag and drafted an email to them. Nathan confirmed the draft and it went out, all in one conversation.

The problem

Nathan asked for beta readers for his new book, The Ladders of Wealth, and 65 people signed up through “some beta reading software”. In his words, “the service had no export option.”

The blueprint (as he describes it)

  1. He selected every reader listed on the page (Cmd+A), copied them and pasted them into Claude.
  2. He asked Claude to clean the names and emails into a usable list.
  3. He asked it to add everyone to Kit and to create and apply a tag.
  4. He asked it to write a quick email telling them to read the book that weekend.
  5. Claude drafted the email. He confirmed the draft, and it sent.

He says “the whole thing happened inside a single Claude conversation.”

Stated results

  • 65 beta readers signed up (his count).
  • The import, tagging, drafting and send all happened in one Claude conversation.
  • No open, reply or time-saved figures are stated.

Caveats

  • This is the founder of Kit showing off his own company’s connector in a launch email. It’s real and first-person, but it’s also a product announcement. It sits alongside the operator-built version in the Keanan Koppenhaver teardown.
  • A human stays in the loop. Kit’s docs say tools that send broadcasts or delete data always need explicit user confirmation. The help centre adds that some of these actions return a link into Kit and only run when you click Confirm there.
  • Kit’s help centre now calls the feature “AI Connectors”. It’s available on paid Kit plans (Creator and Pro). Free accounts can connect, but get an upgrade prompt when they try to run a tool.
