Hard-capped at 5 emails per day: how Shreya Garg built a Claude skill for Bunkaari's wholesale outreach to boutiques abroad

Shreya Garg, founder of Bunkaari, uses a custom Claude skill to run wholesale outreach to independent boutiques abroad. She built it with Claude, Apify and Apollo. The skill scrapes target markets, filters out bad fits, maps the clean data into her CRM and runs an outreach sequence. It is hard-capped at 5 emails per day, and nothing sends until she types "yes, activate". In her September 29 post she wrote, "No wholesale orders yet."

The problem

Bunkaari’s early sales came from Etsy and eBay. She writes that in the early days she “got decent orders without running a single ad.” After COVID, more sellers joined, and “orders dropped significantly even with ads.” Then, she writes, “last August, the US put a 50% tariff on Indian goods and ended the duty-free exemption for small parcels.” Almost all her Etsy buyers are in the US, “so I knew I needed a second route.” She also says that “Prospecting international boutiques manually takes too much time.”

The blueprint (as she describes it)

  1. Pick the market from the data. She says her data showed “a clear, high demand for Indian block-print cottonwear among independent boutiques in Australia, the US, and the UK.” She decided to pivot Bunkaari into B2B wholesale. By September 29 the system covered boutiques “across five countries.” The two countries added after July are not named.
  2. Build the skill once and reuse it. She built “a custom skill using Claude, Apify, and Apollo.” In a later post she calls it a skill “I built once in Claude and now just reuse.”
  3. Let the AI do the research. In her words, “it scrapes the targeted markets, filters out bad fits, and maps the clean data into my CRM.” In a later post she adds that it “verifies real contact details” before loading them into the CRM.
  4. Run the outreach sequence. The skill “runs the outreach sequence.” The steps, timing and channels of the sequence are not described.
  5. Cap the volume and require approval. “The system is hard-capped at 5 emails per day, and it cannot run unattended. It cues up the batch, shows me the exact copy, and waits for me to manually type “yes, activate” before anything sends.” She says, “I don’t want to run a spam machine.”
  6. Fix deliverability. For weeks her emails were “quietly landing in spam” because of “a technical setting buried three layers deep in my domain’s DNS.” She found it, fixed it and “got independent third-party proof it actually worked.” She does not name the setting or the proof.
  7. Review the output. On October 15 she reported that “A couple of my outreach emails to boutiques went out with the wrong Bunkaari link.” Her conclusion: “Someone has to review it, and that someone is me.”
  8. Next step: background agents. On September 17 she wrote that “manually tying prompts and tasks together doesn’t scale.” She wants to move to “frameworks like AutoGPT or Hermes” so the workflows “can run in the background.” She says her current learning sources are YouTube and podcasts.

Stated results

  • “No wholesale orders yet.” (September 29 post.)
  • The spam problem was fixed, with “independent third-party proof” she does not show.
  • No send totals, reply rates, meetings or boutique sign-ups are stated.

Caveats

  • These are the founder’s own LinkedIn posts, and they promote her brand. The October 6 post asks readers for introductions to boutique owners. She sells clothing. The posts do not sell a course, kit or AI product.
  • Her tool list varies by post. The July 28 post names Claude, Apify and Apollo. The September 17 post names only Claude and Apify.
  • The CRM, the DNS setting, the outreach copy and the sequence steps are not named or shown.
  • She calls AI imperfect in other tasks too. In the October 15 post she lists image generation, posting schedules and video captions as places it “let me down.”
  • Handles: LinkedIn linkedin.com/in/shreya-garg-66394258 (verified 2026-10-28: author of all five source posts). X, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon and TikTok are not tagged because none were verified as hers or linked from her posts.

FAQ

What tools does Shreya Garg use for wholesale outreach?

She built a custom Claude skill using Apify and Apollo, and it loads data into a CRM she does not name. She says she wants to move to AutoGPT or Hermes so the workflows can run in the background.

Does the system send emails on its own?

No. It is hard-capped at 5 emails per day and cannot run unattended. It shows her the exact copy and waits for her to type “yes, activate” before anything sends.

Has the outreach produced wholesale orders?

Not as of her September 29 post, which says “No wholesale orders yet.” No reply rates or later results are stated.

What went wrong along the way?

For weeks her emails landed in spam because of a DNS setting she does not name, which she found and fixed. On October 15 she reported that a couple of outreach emails went out with the wrong Bunkaari link.
